Get FREE Instant Notification of Incoming Emails via Text Messages.

In this post I’ll explain how to forward your emails to you cell phone as text messages. The reason you might find this very useful is because there are emails that you may want to take care of as soon as possible. Blackberry’s business model is base on entrepreneurs and others who want to know what’s in their inbox so not to miss important emails. What if you can have this service free of charge by forwarding your emails as text messages. I will show you how to do this using a gmail account, however you can do the same with yahoo by paying a couple of dollars a month in order to enable the forwarding feature. If you don’t have a gmail account yet, I suggest you go ahead and get one and let all of your friends and colleges know about your new gmail email address. Gmail is probably the best email client out there.

NOTE: Make sure you have a very large or an unlimited text messaging plan. If you don’t have a text messaging plan yet you’re really missing out. Text messaging is one of the most efficient way of communicating with people. And considering the low cost these plans are available for today you really have no excuse for not having a plan (at least if you want to consider yourself a business person).

So here is how it works:

Step 1. Send a text message to your email address.

Step 2. Copy the “reply to” address of the email you got from the text message.

Step 3. Go to “Setting” on the top right of the screen and then to “Forwarding and POP/IMAP”

Step 4. By default the forwarding feature will be disabled. So check off “Forward a copy of incoming mail to” and paste the address you’ve previously copied into the text field.

Step 5. Click on :Save Changes” and walla ,you’re DONE.
